Ashford Corriedale Felting Wool - for wet and dry felting
Offered in a variety of small or large color assortments as well as by the ounce or by the pound in individual colors. By far our favorite wool and smoother than the Wilde Wool so works for both traditional wet felting and dry needle felting. Choose from an impressive assortment of 46 dyed and 4 natural colors. One ounce is about 60 inches long, 2 inches wide and 1 inch thick. Comes in roving form in long ropey lengths. New Zealand.

Extra Soft White Merino Wool Roving
Extra Soft White Merino so soft you won't believe it! 19 microns. Useful for dyeing and for wet felting or making super soft angels. One ounce measures approximately 2 yards (72 inches) in length. New Zealand.

Wilde Wool - for fast needle felting
Coarse loose wool commercially dyed in earthy and vibrant colors many of which mimic plant dyed shades. Some people really like the texture for fast needle felting or spin it into yarn suitable for outerwear and rugs. It can be teased to make magic wool pictures or wrapped around pipe cleaners for little dolls. A blend of Romney/Perendale wool from New Zealand. The "natural" colors are undyed. Sold by the ounce or by the pound. 2 ounces, when rolled into a loose ball, is about the size of a cantaloupe. Eco Wool Batting
Sustainable, 30% organic locally sourced wool from Oregon and California. Eco wool is raised according to guidelines that include proper grazing techniques, predator friendliness and healthy veterinary practices. Random testing assures the pasture has had no contact with herbicides or pesticides.
Veggie-matter will vary from bale to bale and is normally cleaned quite thoroughly during processing, however it is impossible to completely remove all veggie-matter without "carbonizing" (acid washing and baking the wool). A soft and resilient batting you can feel safe using to stuff your soft toys and dolls. Figure about 1/2 lb. for a 14" doll; 3/4 lb. for a 16" and up to 1 lb for an 18" doll. In addition, the batting can be wet felted or used for the inner core when needle felting. Order by the pound or half-pound.

New Zealand Raw Wool
Lanolin-rich raw wool fleece with beautiful luster and wavy locks, just as it comes from the sheep. Experience the whole process of washing and transforming the wool with your children and allow them to benefit from these magical moments. Washed wool can then be turned to good use for spinning into yarn, dyeing, felting (wet and dry) or used as stuffing for your soft toy projects.

Felted Wool Balls
Little felted wool baubles for bursts of color. String for bag handles, embellish knits, bead with them. use for children's crafts or whatever inspires you. Each bag contains 5 ounces, about 100 solid and marble colored wool balls in assorted colors ranging in size from 1/2" to 1" (1-1/2cm to 3cm). Curly Roving
Pure English wool roving for felting, making curly gnome beards and more. Three lengths of wool braided around a cotton string core which when unbraided yields beautiful, soft and full curls. Lengths vary between 13" - 15" times three.
Ashford Drum Carder
We use one of these in our shop for making beautiful one-of-a kind multi-colored batts of wool which can become a seasonal surface on the nature table, be wet or dry felted, or used in "painting" magic wool pictures. The garments on our needle felted Seasonal Dolls are made of this color blended wool.
Quickly card most types of wool for spinning and felting or create your own colors by blending different Corriedale colors together. Makes a 2 ounce batt great for felting or spinning.
