With Fiber Trends Hand Knit Designs you can knit with our Lamb's Pride wool yarn, felt in the washing machine and then stuff with our soft wool batting. Great patterns for knitting a variety of cuddly stuffed animals, Christmas stockings, hats and more. Detailed felting instructions included with each pattern. 

NOTE: Bleached white yarns do not felt. Some off whites don't felt either. In addition, different colors of the same yarn can felt at different rates and not be suitable for use together. We recommend you first work up a 5"-6" sample square adding your contrast color, then felt to check results.

Nuts About Squirrels Felted Knitting Pattern

Feeling like some nutty company? What could be better than a squirrel or two. Finished size is 6"-9" (15 to 23 cm) tall. Use a worsted wool for your main color (160 yards) and tummy color (25 yards). You'll also need 45 yards of an eyelash yarn for the tail. Needles are 16" circulars in size 10.5 (6.5mm) and a set of double points in US size 11 (8mm). Design by Debbie Radtke.

Huggable Hedgehogs Felted Knitting Pattern

With one or more of these cuddly creatures around the house you will never be without someone to hug. Finished size is approximately 7"-10" (18-25cm) tall. Choose a worsted weight yarn (about 165 yards) that will felt easily and firmly and a thick "fur like" novelty yarn (about 100 yards) and 10 yards of darker wool yarn for paws. Use 24" circular needles in US size 10.5 (6.5mm) and size 11 (8mm). Flamingo Beach Party Felted Knitting Pattern

What child, or adult for that matter, wouldn't want a toy pink flamingo? Choose a worsted weight yarn that will felt easily and firmly. Flamingos are shown made in our Lamb's Pride worsted and measure about 12" long and 11" tall (bottom of body to top of head). You'll need about 500 yards of a main color and 20 yards of black. If you choose to make a feathered flamingo, as shown in the chair, you will need about 70-80 yards of an eyelash yarn. Felted Fido Felted Knitting Pattern

This small shaggy dog is a fun reminder of the everyday joy that canine companions can brign to our lives. You can change yarns, colors, ear style and tail lenght to customize your pup. Design by Evelyn Clark. Choose a worsted weight wool yarn that will felt easily and a coordinating furry novelty yarn to hold along with it. The novelty is not expected to felt. Requires about 200 yards each. Straight or circular knitting needles and a set of double points, all in US size 10.5 (6.5mm). Finished size will measure approximately 10" high and 11" long.

Christmas Ornaments Felted Knitting Pattern

Knit mini stockings, mittens, bells, and Santa boots in worsted wool or sport weight for smaller ornaments.  Each one uses about 35 yards of yarn. Finished size measures from 3" to 4-1/2" tall. Stocking and mitten require double pointed needles, boot and bell straight needles. Size 10 (6mm) for light worsted weight yarn, 10-1/2 (6.5mm) for heavy worsted and size 7 (4.5mm) for a sport weight yarn. Crocheted Felted Slippers Pattern

These darling slippers are for children. Fits feet up to 8" long. Crocheted in worsted weight yarn. Six sizes for infants and children to fit feet from 3" to 8". Outside of slipper will measure approximately 1" longer. Use Lamb's Pride Worsted Weight Yarn. A pair of slippers requires approximately 130 (155, 200, 230, 260, 290) yards plus 25 (30, 35, 40, 45, 50) yards of contrast, if desired. Crochet Hook: Size K (6.5mm). Design by Bev Galeskas.

Crocheted Felted Boot Slippers Pattern

Quick and easy to crochet, these felt slippers have double soles for extra comfort and wear. Decorate with easy needle felted sheep design or make up your own! Sizes for men and women. Yardage: Lamb's Pride Bulky Yarn... Size 5/6 men's and women's - 330 yards; size 7/8 men's and women's - 420 yards; size 9/10 women's or 10/11men's - 510 yards or 620 yards; size 12/13 men's and women's - 710 yards. For 2-color slippers you will need about half of your yardage in each color. A contrasting cuff requires 10-12 yards. Crochet Hook: 9mm (US size M or N, varies by brand). Design by Bev Galeskas.

Bright Chapeau Felted Knit Hat Pattern

Brighten anyone's day with this cheerful hat! Works up easily in any semi-worsted or sport weight yarn such as our Tekapo. An alpaca yarn (sorry, we don't sell this) would be nice 'cuz it's so extra soft! Sizes: Child's small (16"), medium (17-3/4"), large (19-1/4") and adult small (21"), medium (22-1/2") and large (24"). Easy to custom fit with felting. Yardage: 120 (140, 170, 200, 230, 260) yards of main color and 35 (40, 50, 60, 70) yards of contrast color. Needle size: US size 8 (5mm) 16" circular. Design by Bev Galeskas.

Baby Bears Felted Knitting Pattern

Pattern gives you the option of making a solid color bear or a cute pajama bear. Solid color bear uses approximately 200 yards of Lamb's Pride Worsted weight. Pajama bear, about 130 yards for pajamas and 70 yards of bear color. Hat, 60 yards. Use size 10 or 10.5 straight needles for bear and a 16" circular and set of double pointed needles for hat. Baby Bears made in worsted weight yarn will measure 7 to 12 inches tall. Design by Bev Galeskas.

Marigold Bears Felted Knitting Pattern

Choose Lamb's Pride in Worsted weight or use a mohair or alpaca yarn that felts well. Yardage: About 450 yards for a solid color bear. For a bear with clothes, the following amounts: head and hands - 110 yards; coat - 160 yards; pants or legs - 75 yards; boots or shoes - 40 yards; felt hat - 100 yards. It is best to use the same brand of yarn for all colors. Use size 10.5 straight needles for bear and a 16" circular and set of double pointed needles for hat. Bunny Fun Felted Knitting Pattern

Quick and easy to knit and fun to felt. Use Lamb's Pride in Worsted weight. For a solid color bunny, you'll need approximately 220 yards. Fronts of ears and bottoms of feet require about 30 yards of a contrast color. Lamb's Pride in Creme will not felt. Use size 10.5 straight needles. Finished size will measure from 7 to 12 inches tall. Design by Bev Galeskas.

Christmas Stockings Felted Knitting Pattern

Use Lamb's Pride in Worsted weight. Striped stocking, 200 yards of main color and 100 yards of contrast. Sheep stocking, 200 yards of main color, 100 yards of sheep color plus a small amount of black for feet, ears, face and tail. Needles: 16" circular and one set of double pointed needles in size 10.5 (7mm). Finished stockings will be thick and substantial and measure approximately 17" long and 7" wide. Koalas Felted Knitting Pattern

Too sweet! Yarn requirements: Lamb's Pride in Bulky or Worsted weight, approximately 250 yards of main color plus 25 yards of black. For inner ears and chest patch you will need about 40 yards of a contrasting yarn such as a long-haired mohair (same as our smooth doll-hair yarn). Straight needles in size 10.5 for worsted. If you have chosen a bulky yarn or are using a double strand to make a larger koala, use size 11 needles. Finished koala measures 8 to 12 inches tall. Design by Bev Galeskas.

Flock of Sheep Felted Knitting Pattern

Use Lamb's Pride in either Bulky (size 11 straight needles) or Worsted (size 10.5 straight needles). If you choose Bulky, you'll need 185 yards main color and 30 yards black. If Worsted, then 165 yards main color and 25 yards black. Lamb's Pride in Creme will not felt so you'll need to select another from our many "lamby" colors. Your choice of yarn and the amount of felting will determine the finished size of your sheep. The one I made is about 7" tall and 9" long and quite cute and cuddly. Design by Bev Galeskas.

Henrietta and Family Felted Knitting Pattern

Stuffed softly, Henrietta makes a very good friend. With some weight added to her stuffing, such as a brick, she can also be used as a door stop. Pattern calls for Worsted weight yarn and size 10.5 straight or circular needles. For the hen you'll need 350 yards of the main color and a small amount of contrast color. Chicks require approximately 55 yards each plus 12 yard of contrast for beak if desired. Hen pictured above is 12" long and 11" tall to the top of her head. Alpaca Felted Knitting Pattern

While these soft friends are agreeable to being made in any yarn that will felt, they are extra special made in alpaca, their own fiber. Animals shown measure from 9" to 14" in total height (foot to head). Yarn requirements: Worsted weight (size 10.5 needles) - 165 yards main color and 15 yards black.
