Felting Needles
Needle felting is felting without water, also known as dry felting, using a very sharp needle with tiny barbs to poke and shape unspun wool. Easy to learn and a quick and satisfying way to make all sorts of treasures including dolls and animals for puppetry and play. Children older than 10 can do this with careful adult supervision.
All of our needles are Triangular unless otherwise noted. Pincushion is available separately below.
COARSE is for fast felting that won't show or when needle breakage is an issue. Great for children. Recommended for coarser fibers. 32 Gauge Triangular.
MEDIUM is an all-purpose needle for medium fibers such as our Corriedale and firming stages for coarser fibers, such as Romney, Leicester, Lincoln and Mohair. Use to form or firm 3-dimensional felt in a stabbing or jiggling action. 36 or 38 Gauge Triangular.
FINE is great for detail and finishing any fiber, particularly medium or fine wool, or when you don't want any needling to show. Use to attach and secure wool in a loose way or to secure fibres wrapped around wire or pipe cleaner. 38 Gauge Star Point or 40 Gauge Triangular.
Pumpkin Boy Pincushion
Already made (not a kit), too cute for words and sure to become a keepsake, this densely felted wool pincushion will keep your felting needles handy and rust free. The climbing figure on the side of the pumpkin is clothed in kimono fabric and stuffed with wool.
Ashford 4-Needle Felting Tool
Use four needles at once with this felting punch to save time when felting large, flat areas. Comfortable wood handle warms with use and is designed to prevent your hand from getting tired or achy. Needles are easy to replace, just twist open the handle to remove and insert a new needle. Store extra needles in the hollow barrel of the handle. Best felting tool by far and even includes five Medium 36 Gauge felting needles.
Foam Needle Felting Pad
Foam pad fits on your lap and works perfectly as a needle felting surface. 1-1/2" thick. 9" x 12".

WIZPICK Color Coded Felting Needles

Brown ~ Thick Fine Triangular (40 gauge)
Pick Brown, a faster fine needle, for quickly adding rough surface textures and embellishments in medium and fine wool projects, but this needle is more inclined to leave a pitted surface than Orange. Not recommended for attaching fine embellishing fibers.
Colonial Knob Style Felting Tools & Extra Needles
Speed up the process when felting larger areas. Smooth birch knob screws apart to allow quick placement of needles. Small Tool holds up to 6 felting needles and comes with three 36 gauge needles. Large Tool holds up to 12 felting needles and comes with six 36 gauge needles. A pack of 3 extra needles of the correct length for the Colonial tools may be purchased separately. Please specify.

All of our needle felting kits come with needles, however a felting pad will need to be purchased separately.
WoolPets Needle Felting Kits
Learn to needle felt! It's quick and fun with one of these beginner kits and its clear, easy-to-follow photo instructions. Supplies include Romney and other ideal wool for needle felting, two very sharp 38 gauge felting needles, and necessary small accoutrements. Comes packaged in a handy transparent "take-out" container - perfect for gift giving. Ages 10 to adult. Adult supervision recommended.
Sheep Ornament Needle Felting Kit
This kit contains a pre-felted background, needles, complete instructions and wool to create a delightful, hanging ornament. This two dimensional item is a good introduction to the felting needle if the sculptures seem a bit intimidating. Each kit makes one ornament. Approximate finished size is 3 inches x 4 inches. Backyard Birds Needle Felting Kits
Make four birds for play or decoration as an ornaments or nature table additions. The Original Backyard Birds kit (shown above) makes a Bluebird, Goldfinch, Cardinal, and Chickadee. With Backyard Birds Too you'll needle felt a Yellow Throat Warbler, Robin, Blue Jay and Downy Wood Pecker. Cat Needle Felting Kit
Kit makes one cute kitty Finished height is approximately 5 ". Includes 2 needles, wool and detailed instructions.
Angora Goat Needle Felting Kit
All you need for needle felting a silky angora goat. Finished size is approximately 6" tall x 6" long. Includes one fine and one medium needle, wool, curly angora fleece and detailed instructions.
Polar Bear Needle Felting Kit
Needle felt a walking bear of pure wool. Shown prowling an ice flow of Plant Dyed Blue Silk. Finished size is approximately 4”x6” - includes needle felting needles, wool, and complete instructions. (The scarf around the bear's neck is not included.)
Gnome Needle Felting Kit
Finished Gnome with sculpted face is about 8" tall. Includes needles, wool and detailed instructions. Suit colors vary. Most of the time we have Santa red so just let us know when you check out of that's your preference.

Each kit makes one 7" long fluffy sheep. A good beginner kit. Colors vary. Includes needles, wool and detailed instructions. From left to right: gray, white, brown. If you wish, you may specify first and second choice of desired color in the comments section when checking out.
