Description
The lucet is a tool dating back to the days of the Vikings. Originally made from bone or shell it is also referred to as a knitting fork and is a quick way to make single strand or multi-strand braided cords.
The technique is simple. By wrapping over the prongs stitches are formed. The braid in progress grows out of the hole and is secured by pressing your finger against the hole until your cord is as long as you like.
