This kit teaches the history, traditional pottery methods and many designs from New Mexico and Arizona. Learn how to form a pinch pot or a few smaller pots. You'll find many beautiful and authentic designs included in the booklet.
While the clay is self-hardening, it is not waterproof.
Clay modeling is usually taught in a Waldorf school beginning in fourth grade.
Kit includes:
- dry paint powders
- yucca leaves
- stone for polishing the pot
- color photo instructions
You supply: water, towels, paint tray (a container lid works well) and a spoon
Kit makes one 3" - 6" pinch pot
Ages 8 and up, adult participation necessary for younger ages
