Adult Hand Carders
The process of carding untangles wool fibers and removes foreign matter prior to spinning and felting. These curved back wool carders from Ashford come complete with handcarding instructions and are proportioned for adults. Roving is wool that has been washed and carded into long, ropey lengths. Our dyed Corriedale is about 2 inches wide and 1 inch thick. One ounce measures approximately 1.25 yards (45 inches) in length.
