Description

This pure and natural olive oil soap is imported from Greece. It can be used for wet and nuno felting techniques and as a face or body soap, as well as a shampoo for dry hair. It is safe for the most discerning skin types and one bar lasts a long time.

Use the bar to soap up your hands for felting or make a slurry.

Making a slurry helps to:

  • Open up the wool fibers ensuring quick and thorough wetting
  • Reduce felting time
  • Reduce design shifting during felting
  • Moisturize your hands

Made in Greece

One 4.4 ounce bar (125g) vegetarian, no artificial colors, fragrances or perfumes.

Ingredients: Sodium Olivate (Saponified olive oil), Aqua (Water), Sodium Chloride (Aegean Sea Salt), and Citric Acid (a natural pH balancer).

Olive Oil Felting Soap Slurry Recipe

  • 1 cup pure olive oil soap grated, chopped or cut into thin shards with a sharp knife
  • 1 quart boiling water

Pour boiling water over soap bits to cover, stir or whisk gently every few hours until soap dissolves. Store the slimy, syrup-like solution in a jar for up to 3 to 4 weeks taking small amounts from the jar to make a soapy water for felting. You want the soapy felting water to feel slippery so test as you add the solution to know when you've added enough.
